Among the 31 rock painting groups in Shangtian Village, Helan Mountain, there are 18 hollow hand prints, varying in size. On the north cliff of the mountain there are two left handprints - one is relatively small, while the other is large and slender and includes a small part of the arm. Clearly, this hand belongs to a woman. There is a sheep to the left, which lowers its head to the hand on the right. On the bottom is an ox kneeling on its front legs towards the hand on the right. Above the hands is a heart-shaped face with big round eyes. It has been extrapolated that the hand on the right is the mark of a female leader of a matriarchal tribe. She has conquered the people on the left, so the ox and sheep kowtow to her to show obedience.
